What it does
Single-judgement skill: takes a candidate thesis and sharpens it into a genuinely ownable position — naming who would disagree and why, locating the precise difference from conventional wisdom and from the closest alternatives, and restating the claim in a form sharp enough that a reasonable person could argue against it. Used after a through-line exists but before it is stress-tested or named.
