Frame a response to a live counter-proposal

Packaged know-how that tells an agent how to do a job well.

You might say…

They came back 20% lower. I didn't panic. I reasoned through what I'd trade for that — and offered the smaller scope at the same day rate.

What it does

Given a specific client counter — a lower number, a scope cut, a payment-term ask — reasons whether to hold, concede, or trade, and drafts the framing that protects rate while moving toward agreement.

Trigger: Use in the moment a concrete counter lands and you must respond before the silence gets uncomfortable — especially when the counter is designed to pressure rather than to genuinely negotiate.

I/O: Specific client counter (number, scope change, term request) + your floor → hold/concede/trade decision + draft response framing
